School Starting

1st day! I'll admit my relief at school starting. (I've shared my thoughts on the so-called "lazy days of summer" before). We've had a fun summer, but it's like a "mom marathon". Wheew! We made it. The "kid garden" section of our yard. They have a pumpkin growing & check out this zuchinni... D said his arm got tired while posing for pics. The baby's growing like crazy too. She's 4 mos. She loves to "stand". She's sweet & happy. Miss H turned 6. Her main gifts were a violin & getting her ears pierced. Great grandma turns 90 next month!

Sweet as honey

I LOVE this little bee outfit w/ yellow tutu. Miss H wanted to dress in her tutu too. Can't hardly stand the cuteness! And since every ballerina needs a stage, my handsome hubby built one: Actually, it's not a stage, it's the floor of what will eventually be a playhouse. But until it has walls, it makes a great stage. Or a reading platform.

Cousins & Canada

We had a family reunion on the Pacific coast. Familial resemblances are strong in my family as you can see in the sibling picture: This tiny traveler is all tuckered out. It was fun seeing the ocean. And even MORE FUN seeing cousins! We also went to Vancouver, British Columbia which was especially exciting for D. He thinks Canada is really cool. It was a fun trip! D even made this cake when we returned. It's decorated w/ licorice.

Blessing Day

In our faith, babies are given "blessings" for their life.

We loved having extended family visit for the occassion.

(We also believe in baptism, but not until children are old enough to understand basic right from wrong.) Her blessing day was beautiful & sweet.

Our Miracle

Our little 6lb 10oz miracle arrived just after 4pm today.
She turned on her own sometime in the night so when we showed up at the hospital for the version this morning, we found out she was already head down & that I was at 5cm! We are very grateful that things went smoothly. She's SO BEAUTIFUL! We are SO HAPPY & BLESSED to have her. It's been a long journey. Thank you for everyone's prayers.
